Sheet Metal Stamping Fabrication in Shenzhen, China
— Our ability to provide both Tool Stamping and Laser Cutting fabrication shapes flexibility and substantial savings on some sheet metal fabrication parts. Tool stamping is more cost effective than laser cutting for certain materials and provides additional capabilities of forming, counter sinking, extruded flanges, embossing, etc. Whereas laser cutting is a precise and efficient cutting process that can provide a smooth sheared edge and functional bearing surfaces for high quality mechanical slide components with excellent flatness and is equally suitable for prototyping before high volume production.
What’s more, Laser cutting is a very fast way to prototype new jobs with no upfront tooling cost. Metal stamping requires the creation of a custom die that can only be used for the production of a particular part. The creation of the die creates a much higher upfront cost, however once created, the die can be used repeatedly to make a large number of parts. The equipment needed for machine stamping takes much longer to be ready than the equipment for a laser cutting process. However, the cycle time needed to produce each part once the system has been set up can take less time overall.
